The 32 Tips

1. Exhibit absolute honesty, fairness, justice and integrity with everyone in everything you do.
2. Be the kind of person others admire and respect and want to be like.
3. Set a standard that others aspire to. In work ethic, morality and integrity.
4. Live in truth with yourself and others so that they feel confident giving you their support and their commitment.

5. Always been known as someone who does what they say they are going to do, when they say they are going to do it.
6. Demonstrate courage in everything you do by facing doubts and uncertainties and moving forward regardless.
7. Put up a good front even when you feel anxious about the outcome.
8. Posture yourself for success. Don’t be afraid to fake it until you make it.
9. Don’t burden others with your fears and misgivings - You keep them to yourself.
10. Constantly push yourself out of your comfort zone and in the direction of your goals. Always keep on keeping on with a smile.
11. Be intensely realistic.
12. Prepare for the worst but expect the best.
13. Refuse to engage in mental games or self-delusion.
14. Encourage others to be realistic and objective about their situations as well.
15. Encourage others to realise and appreciate there is a price to pay for everything they want.
16. Accept complete responsibility for results.
17. Refuse to make excuses or blame others or hold grudges against people who you feel may have wronged you.
18. Say these 10 words often “If it is to be, it is up to me.”
19. Repeat over and over and over the words, “I am responsible.”
20. Know that all mental preparation and character building is but a prelude to action.
21. Take action.
22. It’s not what you say but what you do that counts.
23. Set the example and act as the role model. You do what you expect others to do.
24. Trust your subordinates. This mutual bond of trust and respect creates elevated performance.
25. When you truly trust your staff, you will find that this trust is returned to you.
26. Tell them how valuable they are and be sincere at all times. You can be hard but always be fair.
27. Empower your staff to do their job the very best they know how – don’t micro manage.
28. For all decisions remember BSTA. The more emotive the reaction the more important this is. Breathe, Stop, Think, Act
29. Set high standards and refuse to compromise them.
30. Be clear about your goals and priorities and then take action continually forward.
31. Develop a sense of urgency.
32. Keep moving forward and you’ll automatically keep yourself and others motivated.
